Amazing groovy cover by an all live and real one man band. Not sure why but of all the videos of my one man band posted to date, this is getting viewed and liked the most all by it self. Please tell me why you like this one in the comment section if you have the time.
I've played this tune for years with a pretty decent backing track, electric guitar and a harmonizer on my vocals. I learned it when I started to perform solo in Florida as a few Reggae seemed proper. Playing it as a one man band feels right for the key of A I dropped it to. Bob sings it in C. I play straight harp on it cause song does not imply flat 7th and chordally hangs out away from the tonic a lot so the bend notes are easily had.

  • Where are you based, or at least where is this? I live in Satellite Beach part of Brevard County.

  • @ReelBigStreetlight I'm based in Cocoa and this was filmed in Lakeland. I have a whole bunch of YouTube Videos filmed at Lou's Blues if you look through my channel. Inn Brevard County I play Lou's, Matts Casbah and Squid Lips which are pretty close to you. I also play in Port Canaveral at Baja and Millikens, plus in a couple weeks I'm at the Brevard Co Fair. All my dates are on my Cal, here m a r c d o b s o n . c o m

  • wow! this deserves to be on tv instead of all those dull shows...

  • @TheMachoPounder Thanks, I'm working on national TV spots but they are hard to get :(

  • @333818 no, I'm based on the Space Coast/Brevard County.

  • Is the harmonica somewhat easy to learn and teach yourself? I taught myself to play guitar, and can play somewhat good, but I really want to learn to play harmonica... Youre a great musician by the way. In one of your response comments to this video, you mention you only had one job before that lasted less than 6 months...just out of curiosity, what was it? lol

  • @jm8907 IMO, Yes harmonica is somewhat easy to learn, especially 4 someone who already plays and has live gig experience. Always been cautious with harp players, many play OK but do not no when to play or which harp. I play harp in 4 positions, a lot play only in cross (position 2) not knowing when to leave out flat 5's & other notes not belonging to song. Key points 2 learn r single notes & draw bend. Bottom 6 holes R easier than top 4. The 1 job was a party goods delivery driver.

  • I don't know why it's overly popular compared to the other, maybe because of the catchiness and memories in the listeners. You music makes me happy, thank you.
