  • @unixlink semper fi fellow marine i agree 100 percent with ya thats my concern to a n improperly trained person may get the weapon taken away and the weapon used against him

  • @MrJesuschristisking I'm a Marine, and we have been trained intensely on everything related to the safety, use, carry/movement, storage, and handling of weapons and ammunition. We've been trained repetitively on weapons safety, movement with a weapon, and handling until it becomes second nature to us. with this said, I would also be very concerned if a lightly trained civilian carries a gun in public without proper training. his weapon becomes more of a threat to him and others than protection

  • @MrJesuschristisking however, I do see your point and that of TheChristfollwers2; that having untrained civilians carry guns also provide a chance for a criminal to take their gun and use it on them or others. I think that having a right to carry a gun should also come with intense training on how to handle and safeguard the weapon at all times. it's not enough to just call upon our second amendment for the right to carry without seriously thinking about the repercussions.

  • @MrJesuschristisking the sad reality is that ONLY the decent "Law Abiding" people of Illinois don't carry guns for self defense because we follow the "law". guns become dangerous if it is in the hands of non-law-abiding citizens or criminals. so, laws that say we can't carry guns just put decent law-abiding citizens at risk because criminals don't follow these laws anyway which is why they are called "criminals". they'll carry guns, even if it's illegal, to "easily" attack defenseless prey.

  • All of you that are happy to hear that right to carry or HB 148 was denied should be ashamed of yourself. God forbid, what if you were put in a situation where the police couldn't help because your in a dark alley and your mugger won't let you dial 911. What if some one approached your kids at a park trying to take them away and the police can't get there in time. The problem is this is happening to people everyday and your happy cause it's not you. Well thankyou for taking away my rights to pr

  • @TheChristfollowers2 it has nothing to do with looking macho, did you even watch the video? most people carry for self defense purposes. i dont even know why there is a debate on this. it is our 2nd amendment right to do so. would you be so outspoken if people where infringing on your freedom of speech? let one right go, the others will soon follow

  • im glad people of illinois cant carry guns its just to dangerous

  • @TheChristfollowers2 Im in IL also...think that when this Police state comes after you and yours..

  • What if the rapist has a barf fetish? Then you've just given him more reason to rape you. Illinois is so tyrannical.

  • its great that illinois wontallow right tocarry it should be left for the police it mostlikelymakesmenfeel machoto carry but if their not trained to keep anattackerfrom stealing the weapon thecity where i live we gotenough crime in the city let alone more guns out there
