Assimilation or Annihilation: The Introduction of Residential Schools

The Short Film you are about to see is a Documentary I did on what happen to the North American Indians (Plains Indians) in the 1800 & 1900's. During the English Settlers movement to North America, they forced change on North American Indians as they dominated their land. The English Settlers killed them, put them on Reservations, took their land, and even took their children away and put them in residential schools. The plains Indians were scarred forever!

What you are about to see maybe disturbing, but these are just some of the stories that have been documented and witnessed in the past.

As you watch my documentary, ask yourself this question, was it Assimilation or Annihilation?

We natives were here long before the white man got here. The whites brought diseases and killed off damn near all of our people. The whites came as though they were superior to us and that their shit didnt stink. Fuck that. We have been through so much, Our land is all we have left. Christainity is a cop out religion. Blaming the Devil for things that that one does, saying the devil made you do it. Christianity has so many draw backs and contraditions its not funny. NATIVE AND PROUD FOR LIFE!

The corrupt versions of Christianity may match what you say. However when Jesus was asked what are the most important commandments he replied 'Love God with all your heart and your neighbour as yourself.' If Christians fail to do this then they are not Christians at all. Don't confuse 'Religion' with spirituality, they are often 2 different things.

@akira543, I agree with you. All truly spiritual people recognise each other. Mother Theresa, Dalai Lama, Sitting Bull or Martin Luther King may have differences in their beliefs but their goodness and love for others trancends this. I have huge respect for native peoples of the Americas who were robbed, murdered and dispossessed on a grand scale by greedy, immoral men. These so called 'Christians' were strangers to Jesus and many indigenous peoples were indeed much more spiritual. Respect.

@tirnaog09 Yeah Jesus sounds like one cool guy, but that's where it ends with Christianity..

As I understand, this 'Jesus' figure did not intend his name to be used as a institution for empire and conquest, and I think Native peoples were/are more closer to 'God/spirit/Christ/whatever' than the suppose "Christians" that came over here to "help" them.
