There's no need for an Uncompressed signal; the bitrate is already so high it's almost un-editable.

Biterate is the rate that information is transferred to the screen for viewing. The slower the bitrate, the lower the video quality.

...but it is still a H.264 compressed file!!! but there will be a firmware, which allows you to record via hdmi uncompressed hd video in a 4:2:2 mpeg2 codec...

this is the power of your hd signal. and that is the main diffrence between red and hd-dslr's like the7d. Not to mention 4k ;).

i work as a photographer and took about 10000 photos with this camera.the last 2 month in china.
my meaning to the 7D: WONDERFUL CAMERA! god i love it very much!
