"Good night Irene" and "The Tennessee Waltz" were incredibly popular. Way back in 1950-51 it seemed that wherever you went (stores, restaurants, etc.) those songs were playing. Good times...good memories.

"Goodnight, Irene" was a huge favorite in tavern jukeboxes. You walk by outside, and you can hear it playing inside; oftentimes the drinkers would join in. They loved to sing to this one.
