@keglimp - thank you. I got the idea from a dead CD burner I had. I was like....would it work if I did this?? LOL....and low and hehold....it does....How lucky LOL...cheap to make to. No fancy stuff needed to buy no fancy software either lol

Could i cut the other end off and twist those wires to a usb wire and use that, so i have the one end with the rca female ports and the other side with a usb, i know they sell something like that on ebay, but im looking to save money and do it myself, thx jay

@espltdm251playa - I will be honest....I do not know....but to me...i think that would not work...simply because...your computer will not know that particular device is supposed to be a sound card...the way i do it works well because....that is the job of the CD-IN of the motherboard. But give your way a try...and let me know how it turns out :)
