@cyprusdin01 Disadvantages: although got it "pre knocked" (paid 10 pounds extra) it took me ages to season the bat. so far have spent at least 10 hours knocking and still get the seam marks. also have already started noticing cracks on the edges...
over all good bat but cant see it lasting for more than a season..hope this helps..
bought a CJI Sumo (English Willow nurtured in India) two month ago. Cost me 80 pounds including delivery (Bought it through Ebay the bat came all the way from India). bought the standard size which is 3lb 4oz. Although the bat looks big and heavy its pretty nice to hold. Perfect for slogging however guys who use a lot of bottom hand will feel the weight after a bit..
Oh, They are only for Proper English Willow which as you know costs the most and can be brought as Grade 1 & 2 for this Bat. There are no grades for English Willow Nurtured in India, its just the Finest English Willow grown in India which comes very cheap. CJI seems to have the finest of those, they put a lot of wood behind there bats and the comments they got from there customers seem to be good. Weights from 3lb 2ozs - 4lb on Both Willows. Hope this is Enough Info.
mate i didn't kno they onli came in english willow, i assumed they had them in both cos most bats come in both the willows and my previos comment was statin that english willow was the way to go
