  • If the goal is to save money, it is a good deal. 80-160GB is a lot of Hard drive space and you buy memory online to add more.

  • just go to student discount apple store lol i can get about £100 ($170) off any mac and it comes with office 08 on it, this video is a load of crap

  • Michael,

Some folks find it helpful, you do not and that's ok.

This video explains how to navigate through the Apple store and see what's available from the new and refurbished section.

Not everyone knows someone in school who can get a student discount plus I explain how to get a copy of Microsoft office from Ebay.

My client was able to get a Macbook ordered and now understands the difference between a Macbook, Macbook Pro and Macbook Air.

  • soz i shouldent have put "a load of crap" at the end of my comment.

they don have to be in school they can be in college or university.

  • Hey, we all can feel "strongly" about something :)

There are folks out there who are over the age of 25 who are not in school and don't know someone in school so it's still not always easy to connect with a "student" to get the Mac discount.

My sister was a student when I bought my 2nd iPod in 2005 so I saved about $60 by having her order it.

  • I can't believe you said $1,200 when written price indicated is $1,299, $1,500 when price is $1,599 and $1,900 dollars when the price is $1,999!! Rounding these off to nearest higher number 99.99% more accurate :-)

  • @michaellewisjohn Heya, just wanted to say it nice to see at least a few nice people on YouTube. Thumbs up man!

  • good tip. thanks

  • umm yeah you can its not like they lock the items in place so you cant replace them thats the whole point of getting refurbished

  • thats not that good its refurbished you cant add more hard drive space or more ram
