  • i have it from bill goodwin the drummer in this video, that the name of this song is OPELING (opening but with the l) a tom barrel composition. bill teaches at my college and still plays ridiculously well!

  • WHen I hear Phil Woods, I KNOW it's Phil Woods. GO Phil!

  • wow o wow

  • Harrell has few peers when it comes to constructing beautiful lines 'on the fly' I admire his work so much because he seems to never 'take a break' playing valve sequences or blowing repetitive riffs ... truly amazing

  • Tom Harrell is one of the best jazz trumpet players ever. This solo is sick!

  • What tune?

  • sounds like It could happen to You

  • That would be none other than Oliver Nelson's old mouthpiece gifted to Phil many years ago

  • STEVE GILMORE IS One of my very favourite DB player. Always great to hear his playing!! Fantastic band! Thanks!
