Y'know, it's funny because before the game I was talking to other fans about it. I think it helps that the Sox wore white because Georgia ended up practicing in another jersey then coming back on the field in black. Superstitions, man. haha

My pleasure! The Sox base colors are black and white, and for the last and most important game of the season the fans were told to wear all black. Since it was a night game it gave a really cool appearance.

I think the idea originated in colleges such as Penn State which performs white outs. When the fans pull through, it looks amazing.

@DNL1012 Just a little side-note. MLB screwed the Twins that year because the Twins had the better record in head-to-head matchups between the teams that year, yet the game was played in Chicago, ILL (the shittiest city in the shittiest state.)

twins had the worst year i a twins fan and red soxs more of a twin but i dont ike white soxs either XD but they wayyyyyyyyyy better then the yankees tigers beat them tigers got 1st place in 2011 in are diveson and indians got 2nd white soxs got 3rd and royales got 4th twins got 5th :( but next season it will be beetween the whiet soxs and twins probably my guess is roayles wont make it or indians

The Sox have FAR more playoff wins over the past 10 years than the Twinkies do, so what's your friggin point? @geocachmaster in 2008 the Twins did not make the playoffs.......in 2010 the Twins got beat by the Yankees again for the 2nd time in 2 years..........we can't do anything whwn it comes to beating the yankees, but maybe this year if we make the playoffs since we signed Thome to a 1 year contract for 2011.........GO TWINS
