this is true.
and male calicos are not fertile :)
same with tortoise shell...it's that white, black, orange colouring...whatever makes that colour is apparently a female gene :)

calicos are pretty, most calico's are females, heard that on some vet thing. my kitten is orange with a mohawk... lol
