I have a Land rover 110 pick-up on competition...and it kicks ass on toyotas land cruisers. and theirs engines are like 3-5 liters and mine is only 2.5 liter....why do we win or get a really good qualification :PP
@erdenezaya I'm not here to get into a LandRover vs LandCruiser p*ssing contest mate! All i am saying is that I am not a mechanic which means i prefer toyotas because they don't break down. Frankly 37000 miles is not even 'run-in' yet by either Land Rover or Toyota standards so the fact that you have already had to replace a UJ is nothing to shout about, my LandCruiser is on 160,000 miles and all i've replaces are tyres and filters!
come on dude, mine Defender got over 37 000 miles and nothing yet got broken down, just had to replace a joint that connects to front propshaft, LR all got charachters and some get more attention causing troubles and some run much without trouble
In a word yes. I have a LandCruiser and so does pretty much everyone i know. i also would like to point out that although i live in UK i regularly take mine across Europe into Africa etc so it's no Road going SUV. In a nutshell, LR are better offroad (marginally) when they work, but unless you are a decent mechanic, they just can't be relied upon. I have never ever had a LandCruiser let me down.
We have a concentration between spain and portugal of land rovers and they went like more then a thousand...
Wen i weard about a concentration only of toyotas it only went like twenty(20)...LoooooooL

@13Tommo i agree with, i myself prefer land rover, but it is more a emotional choice since i had land rovers around me since young age.
i do not understand ppl getting mad for what's better or not
the fact is land rover should be much better, since it is intended to be a off road machine, to drive in rough ground in deserts etc
and when it comes to say land rover is better off road i really do not know
i think that the land cruiser amazon 80 series has no match in the land rover family
