My first attempt at participating in the June VHF QSO Party contest. Played about 2 hours but found out pretty soon, its no fun doing this by yourself especially armstronging the beams, logging, tuning the radio and talking at almost the same time. I don't have enough arms and hands.

  • @ka7jqz You are correct and actually, I was thinking the same thing, stacked halos, dipoles or whatever omni direction, horizontally polarized. Next time.

  • I opted for omnidirectional "halo" antennas rather than yagis. They may not have the gain (or rejection), but you don't have to mess with turning them all the time. Leaves more time for operating.
