  • Dude, if only Clint Eastwood didn't die in Gran Torino, could you imagine the awesomeness of his character and Harry Brown teaming up? "Harry was in town visiting an old comrade in arms, but neither were prepared for what happened next, skaters keyed the Gran Torino, now Harry and Walt are on a rampage of revenge and redemption, but is it worth the cost?'

  • mr michael Caine, you are my hero

  • The best part of this scene is what is not shown. When Harry gives the boy the coup de grace, Harry doesn't blink.

They all blink when they discharge their weapons. DeNiro blinks, Peci blinks, Pacino blinks and Stallone blinks.

But watch Caine's eyes next time you see this movie.

  • @TheRhinehart86 Yeah true.

  • @Vetgo21 Not to mention, I think its established early in the movie that hes dying, so its not exactly a complete surprise when he dies...

  • @aidzz69 No he said Sun, as in Sun Tzu or Sun Yat Sen, the director left it intentionally ambiguous as to which Chinese statesman he was refering to so that audiences would be forced to come to their own conclusion and ultimately discover that it doesnt matter what Sun he was refering to, both have their virtues and vices and that ultimately we inhabit a dark, Nietzschean abyss from which there is no escape. Brilliant bit of film making really

  • @Vetgo21 Hey if the movies a few years old, spoilers dont apply. Besides, if youve ever seen any of those 'douche bag becomes nice' movies you know that the protagonist dies in his act of redemption.

  • @TheRhinehart86 Thanks for the random spoiler there mate :/

  • @murraythehotscot he clearly says son...just saying.

  • He must be a member of the 95th urban task force... lol

  • @451harri Nothing, carry on good citizen.

  • @decpower So you insult me, tell me I'm blinded, imply that I'm a self-righteous sociopath... you're a charmer.

And yes, I would say the same about Batman. Batman is an emotionally retarded rich manchild who is completely incapable of dealing with loss and trauma in a mature and sensible manner, and this is something a lot of Batman's writers have dealt with.

I still love Batman, mind you. What were we talking about again?
