Urban Engineers has played an important role in bicycle-oriented projects as the Philadelphia to Valley Forge Bikeway, Radnor Multi-Use Trail, and Schuylkill River Trail. One of the first and most significant exposures Urban had to bike path development was the West River Drive Project in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, which is now Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. In 1995, the Engineers' Week Committee awarded Urban the "Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award" for its work on the "West River Drive Project."
