Great job man! I like your playing, and your kit sounds killer! Thanks for sharing.

Great Job! I have a vintage speed king from the 60's and no parts have been replaced along the way! It's awesome

youre a good drummer, but i came here to watch the speedking in action - not to see how good you were. You shouldve just played 'good times, bad times' ! :)

Hi Dan,
what do you think is a better pedal the old speed king or the reissue? Or is it the same ?

@ruben79670
the new ones seem to sit higher up off of the floor than the older pedals...plays about the same just feels a little different because of the added height. The foot board is narrower on the new ones also. IMO the older ones seem more comfortable but I am biased because I used a SK from 77-87. I bought a new SK in 06 and exchanged it for a Tama IC then the DW5000 and finally kept the Pearl eliminator.

I tried a brand new Speed King pedal back in the early 80's and could not get used to it.
To me it had a dead feel and I thought it was a pos.
I got rid of it and went back to the single spring Camco pedal I had which was a lot better imo.

I had one of those Camco pedals too and I remember it was a nice pedal. I agree these new SK are not what they used to be...this is why I had to get a vintage model made around 1969. Big difference from the new ones!

Hi ,
i have a question the " speed king " is that pedal better ore faster than a " iron cobra "

That's a tricky question to answer because speed really is in the technique not necessarily the pedal. I find I can get the speed going on any pedal if the spring(s) are nice and tight.
