A spectacular performance of my favorite symphony.....plus he is a fine looking man equally alluring in his passionately athletic style of conducting....anybody got his number?
this was performed in a small hall at the Conservatory, so that might explain the uneven sounds. and it seems the camera is the only mic recording, and it's behind the orchestra so......yeah
I think you're right. That "ring" from the timpani just isn't there. But the strings and the woodwinds are so alive, the collective vibrato is like breathing, and the brass is so noble and commanding; it's hard to *not* love this performance. :)

Its ahrd to undertand why anyone would dislike this piece. I enjoyed my recent opportuntity to perform it.
