*Selena and Miley head downstairs. They meet Kevin in the lobby. The three of them then go into the waiting room and see David and Nick. Selena runs over to Nick and gives him a hug*
Selena: Nick!
Kevin: Hey Nick, David. Will one of you please tell me whats going on now?
Miley: Why are we here?
David: (Looks at Nick)
Nick: (Looks down and shakes his head)
David: (Looks at Kevin) Joe was in a car crash. Its put him into a coma.
Miley: What?!
Selena: Oh my god.
Kevin: Wait a minute. He what? How on earth did he end up in a crash?! Was he drunk? Was Demi with him? Was it because of that stupid party I knew I should have never let you guys go to? Is Demi okay? What the hell is going on?
Nick: Kevin, Joe was in a crash because he left here upset. I tried to get him not to leave but he pushed me out of the car and told me that he didnt want me to get hurt too, that he loved me and Dem and that he was sorry, so I can only assume that this was on purpose.
David: Demi wasnt with him because at Mileys party Cody pushed her down the stairs, and now both of them are upstairs. Although he says it was and accident, no one really knows, all things considering. We think he did it because he didnt want her to have the baby.
Kevin: What does Cody have to do with anything? I mean I know he raped her, Joe told me that. But the baby is Joes, so why would he--
Selena: The baby wasnt Joes, Kevin, it was Codys.
Kevin: Was? What do you mean? She lost the baby because of Cody?
Miley: The baby is gone, the fall was too much for her to handle.
David: But Demi is going to be okay.
Nick: And like I said Joe left upset, but we have yet to figure out why.
Selena: Actually I think I know why he was so upset.
*They all looked at her*
Selena: Demi told him that she blamed him for everything that happened, because of what Joe and Miley did so long ago, that she was raped, got pregnant, and then had a miscarriage. She told him she hated him and never wanted to see him again. She is going to be so devastated. There is no way we can tell her this right now. Not until shes a bit more mentally stable.
Kevin: Now that Im all caught up, what did the doctor say is going to happen with Joe?
Nick: He said he was going to wait until you got here to try different methods of treatment. He said it might be a while before he wakes up (Looks down) If he does
Kevin: Okay. (Takes a deep breath, trying to be the strong big brother/guardian they all know him to be) You girls and David go back upstairs to be with Demi. For now, its best if Demi doesnt find out anything until we know more, okay? Nick and I will go see the Doctor and figure out what we can do to bring Joe back. Everything is going to be okay. Selena and Nick can be on phone duty to communicate what is going on here and there. Everything is going to be okay. Is everyone copasetic?
Selena: Done deal.
Miley: Lets go.
David: (Looks at Nick) Good luck, man. Things are going to work out.
*David, Miley and Selena go back upstairs to Demis room, while Kevin and Nick start talking to the Doctor about the next step for Joes recovery. They decided that they were going to put Joe on an assortment of medications, before doing anything as drastic as surgery. The Doctor told them that Joe could be in a coma from anywheres from a couple of days to the rest of his life, it all depended on the how the different treatments would work. A couple of days later, Demi is feeling better, physically. She hasnt heard from Joe, so she is really worried that what she said ruined their relationship with one another. No one will tell her where he is, just that they cant reach him. All of this makes her emotionally weaker as the days go on. She needed him, now more than ever before. All she has been replaying in her mind was what happened the day she lost her baby. All she has been trying to do is find one reason to keep going on with her life, but she has yet to find it*
