The Le Tiger jingle is actually a 'modern' reworking of a classic New Orleans/Dixieland tune recorded in 1917 by the Original Dixieland Jass Band called "Tiger Rag", specifically the chorus section in which the lyrics are 'Hold That Tiger'
For 25 years ive been singing that le tigre commercial in my head. I had to google it. And here it is! Thank you for posting this and validating my thoughts.
