Episode description from "The Hill and Beyond":
Roland stumbles into an unsafe lift when tries to flee from the bullies that terrorise the residents of the block of flats where he lives. The lift plummets to the basement and, when the doors open, Roland finds himself in a strange underground cavern.

This is back in the mists of time for me. The periphery of my memory. I was 6 years old and I still think it's one of the scariest programmes I've seen. Weird and nightmarish.

Everything in the 70's was made by hippies and had 'social realism' to flavour it. Social realism made by hippies! I feel like I'm being slapped in the face with a concept album! Nice.

Fantastically nostalgic, from when kids tv was odd, inventive and grounded in reality and not colour corrected glossy and "aspirational".
