@chiro972b The Beach Boys had "studio singers"? Never heard that one before.

I heard about this group last week - February 9th, 2012 - after a reference to Glen Campbell playing on the Grammies. I am absolutely floored. This is so good. The harmonies and characterizations, instrumentals, and the blend of sounds are fantastic. I'm running out of adjectives. My favorite so far in Good Vibrations. Stunning.

Blown away...saw the 'Boys' in '65, and several times after; the Fendertones somehow dissected each note of all of the many instruments and voices, and 'covered' things better than I would have guessed...and I -as with many others as old as I am {b.'43}- have heard virtually all of the Beach Boys songs many times over. I came upon their work after looking up
youTube's video of Monkey's Uncle...and I've been viewing/listening to the Fendertones for the
last hour...stunningly good! Thanks!!

Super rich vocals in the back.... great one. Simply spot on.

Blown away with these guys Edwin, you should get them out on tour because I can assure you they would be phenominal, especially over here in Great Britain, (Im Scottish so Edinburgh would be fine for me)

Thanks for clarifying the fact that the BB sang their own songs following Brian's amazing arrangements. The Fendertones are truly spectacular. I cannot believe how beautiful the vocals are...great, great work and an equally great tribute!

amazing cover, you guys sound brilliant!

@tbirdtim It was also on a Double A side 45 with the other side being California Girls. I listened to Let Him Run Wild just as much as California Girls.

I greatly appreciate what you do. I just wish there was more!! However...I understand (I think) what your group is all about. Friends getting together and creating something special. To grow larger and or to commercialize would be to ruin what makes The Fendertones so special!! I will take what I can get....Thank You!!

@Okiemom50 I cannot imagine all the work that went into this. It's so intricate and difficult, which is why almost nobody does it.
Simply amazing. This isn't my favorite beach boys song, but it is your best. The Beach Boys NEVER sounded this good in concert. Even in the day they couldn't match this. People say that the BB did it with so few people, but in the studio they had studio singers and layed track on track, as well as having studio musicians, so this group probably isn't far off what the BB had in the studio.
I sure wish you guys were still performing. I bet you'd fill a lot of concert halls.

@chiro972b Thanks for the nice comments. I believe that the BB rarely used "studio singers" other than Glen Campbell and Bruce Johnston (who were/are both part of the band) Dean Torrence and maybe a few others here and there. I think that most of the vocals were the 5 BB, usually doubled. They did use a lot of studio musicians. We were trying to achieve that studio set up in a live situation - that's why there are so many of us on the stage. Doubled vocals and all of the instruments... Thanks
