I've only been back the Astoria twice in the last 20 years. Both times, the winery doors were closed - no one at home. Way back, I spent many an hour or two talking with paul. His passion is invectious, his wine outstanding.

Not only was Paul's precious chocolate wine served in miniature cones during the dinner toast at our daughter and son-in-laws wedding in Astoria, OR., we were also honored to have Paul attend the wedding! No trip to Astoria is complete without a visit to the Shallon Winery. Thanks Paul for all of the stories and history lessons about Astoria and the great wine!

the BEST chocolate orange wine - the others are faint imitations. Lovely wine, funny & intelligent man, wonderful day trip from Everett, WA for someone recovering from mjr shoulder surgery - thank you for all that you do.

I always stop by and visit this winery any time I am near Astoria, Oregon. Paul has 493 stories to tell and they are all great. Thank you so much for this video. I dread the day that he will be gone. He is an artist with wine. Go visit the Winery while you can. And if you have a business card, take one with you. He will ask you for one.

Had a wonderful 2 hour visit on 09/28/10. What an interesting man and delicious wines. If you're visiting Astoria, make this winery a priority to see!

Incredible to see you on this website. I encourage people to stop at this winery, the tour Paul hosts is like this everyday.
