The East Hawaii spearfishing tournament focused on targeting the roi, or peacock grouper, an invasive species. The tournament is a way to have two-way education among divers and scientists/conservationists, explains Chad Wiggins of The Nature Conservancy. Diver Keola Medeiros wants to educate other fishers before the invasive species become out of control. Produced by Outside Hawaii for Malama Hawaii.
