Correction: Trainers can be both electric or gas, and can be "park-fly" or "field-fly". Because in the old glory days of RC there was pretty much all gas until electric came out with horrible NICAD and i think (dont blame me if im wrong) later on NIMH and of course LIPO. Nice video, i would strongly recommend a pilot to buy a DX6i for investments and a Simulator and PRACTICE for a while ~ Tin

@thebeastpilot Try hotglue and tape... and also trying to buy metal gear digital servos. These vendors dont have the best quality shipping nor products but they do work under light modifications. And could you show me a video or situation of your plane? I might be able to know what the problem is. ~Tin

Hi, do you post to Europe to?? You have a wonderful collection of planes and I would like to purchase one.

@nitroplanes I have the same and the first flight I broke off the tail than I repaired it and the second flight I flown it without crashes or anything... I you go high enough nothing will happen unless you start turning the sticks like a dumbass

Tip for you people. When i charge my batteies I use a time switch what i bought at a local shop voor 10 euros.
Is it possible to learn to fly without the sim? I will assume this plane will take a lot of crashes before it needs some glue....

I suggest you practice with the sim first so you can get the hang of it. There's a lot of beginner planes at nitroplanes . com that you can practice with and are made to withstand minor crashes.

Yeah, i intend to buy the Piper Cub J-3, but would not like to spend the extra money on the simulator. I was just wondering if its possible, i myself have some real flying and simulator experience but do not know about rc.
And another question, is the WHOLE piper cub made of foam?
mandolinplayer13 2 years ago
Most of it is made of hard foam for crash resistance. The sim helps a lot and you can get the feel for the transmitter. At least you'll have the peace of mind that it doesn't cost a whole lot if you get it from nitroplanes . com. Just go out there and fly.

This is a great beginners plane to start off with. Make sure to start off with the flight simulator before actual flight
