"Get Your Kicks On Route 66" was originally written by Bobby Troup for Nat "King" Cole, in 1946. Troup and his wife, Julie London, both starred in the 70's television show, "Emergency." One of the more interesting recordings of this song was the 1963 cover by the Rolling Stones.

i've always wanted to go here. plannin on goin there in a year and a half for my 18th birthday. me my bestfriend and my 79 mustang. or i might get my dads old 67 stang goin for the first time in 20 years and take it across the country to where it came from. for somereason i doubt it would make it though. (frames rough, floors are iffy, and motor hasnt been driven farther than 10 miles in about 30 years.) if i ever get it there i think i should sell it to someone who would restore it.
