@eileenbalonis For whatever reason, Dusty Springfield was a singer that resonated within me. I memorized her songs immediately. This one will always be associated with the summer I turned 12 yrs old. It was a good one. I actually met Dusty when I was in my twenties. She was a friend of a friend. It was not the best of times in her professional life, and regardless of her personal demons and struggles, she was sweet, and had a magnificent sense of humor. I shall never forget her.

I could watch this video a million times

@Caracalman She was the best.

@goe5 Nobody can beat her.

@ViragoBoom She really was something. We were your when we started listening to her. Never get tired of her voice.

Isn't it odd. We have widescreen LED 3D tv's. We have blueray players.
We have 'lossless audio'
And yet.. this ancient, low res,black & white, low audio quality film clip sends shivers up the spine....
and brings a tear to the eye.
Still.
QED.

No costume. No backup dancers. Just a voice. A wonderful, powerful, one-of-a-kind voice. Whatever her personal demons, she left us the gift of a talent that will be heard forever. Peace.
