Not true. A titanium ring can be cut off with ordinary bolt cutters. No worse than having a stainless ring. Heck you could even cut one off with a hack saw. Many of the titanium ring manufacturers dispel this myth.

Now if you had a tungsten ring, that would be a little more difficult.

  • may i clean ths machine? id do that for free every 10 engravings ;)

  • @FilippoGatti1991 yea it's amazing how light titanium is. I owned a titanium ring and it washed away in the shower. I didn't even know it had slipped off of my finger. I remember hearing a loud noise that freaked me out, but it took about 4 hours to realize my 160 bucks literally went down the drain haha.

Yes, titanium carbide is similar in hardness with corundum (ruby, sapphire,...).

Soomething harder is Tungsten Carbide, but is also more britlle, infact it shatters when pressed with pliers.

I would not buy anything like Tungsten or Titanium Carbide, they are too brittle.

I buy only Titanium or Tungsten metal alloys as jewelery.

Right now I'm wearing a Titanium necklace. It is very strong and lightweight.

  • @FilippoGatti1991 yep. Just relaying what the jeweler told me. I believe he was referring to titanium carbide.

  • @RetiredJedi04

    9.3? Its hardness is 6.

  • @RetiredJedi04

Titanium Nitride(TiN) is indeed 9.0 on MOH scale and is often used to coat cutting tools, such as drill bits,

    Titanium(Ti) itself is 6.0

Tungsten hardness is on MOH scale is 7.5 .

  • @RetiredJedi04 Titanium is only 6 on the MOHs scale. Titanium Carbide is 9.3 similar to Tungsten Carbide

    good video

  • @SupermaxCNC you'd have trouble bending a 7/16 bar of aluminum man. That's not saying much.

  • well you need some common sense too. That helps!!!!!!!! alot ..You could also say that you could cut your hand off trying to grind it off but that again will be someone stupid doing something he shouldn't be doing and absent of common sense
