We look at the aftermath of the genocide which left Rwanda deserted. A skeleton lies in the doorway of an empty home, and in a local hospital wounded children pour out their stories of machete attacks and murder. As a blank-faced woman sits silently nearby, an aid worker tells how she escaped the killing by lying amongst dead bodies for a week. Rwandan Patriotic Front members explain their plans for the future of Rwanda. Their mood is one of reconciliation.
