no... pvc is very reliable, because if it wasnt, they would have to come and change your water pipes every year or so.

PVC is probably faster because it's more 'smooth' but how did you do that on this (wooden) roller coaster? Just many small pieces or do you have a secret?

Its actually very simple, you just use 3/4 inch boards and after you put supports into the ground you bend the boards over the cross-ties (which should be connected to your supports) and screw them down to the cross-ties and then you laminate the first board by putting another 3/4 inch board on top of it and fastening it down to the board. And that is how you make a nice, smooth track, just like the pros do it.

I think im just gonna make a new one out of the wood from the old one but im not shure where and what the design will be yet.

I forgot how awsome this one was when it was in its prime lol, now its gone and im still thinking of new designes for a new one.
