"I traveled to Pittsburgh to a film set where on Sept. 19, 2005 I finally met Dick Butkus. For me 40 yrs turned into a surreal moment as we discussed the work, it's possibilities. He graciously signed a few of my favorite pieces.
Now I realize that by seeking Dick Butkus I had found myself and again my life's passion for art. I never expected that a boy's day dreams would become so important to a man's life. Coming full circle as the artist within found it's voice again by celebrating the youthful imagery of the old hero.

BUTKUS CHICAGO BORN AND RAISED and do not even think about going to his old neighborhood in Chicago,Roseland is hell.

I once shook the hand of the great Dick Butkus,it was a moment I will never forget.

Nice touch using the piece of music from Rudy.
Right when you sat down with Mr.Butkus, the same piece of music as when Rudy finally read his acceptance letter and cried.Right?
That part of the movie gets me every time.

Too cool man, I'd have a hard time keeping it together if I got to meet the legend. That guy was a one-and-only monster of the game of football.

This gave me goosebumps. I love the bloody knuckles artwork. I have a signed NFL football by Dick Butkus and it's my prized possession.
