Completely forgot about the confrontations I've gotten into over both points you made with strangers and friends because of either situation. Thanks also for the other point of view. Good convo.

Cont.... The in crowd and lash out at the world. Point is. Lots of misdirected anger and entitlement out there. Some of it crosses the line into racism. I have 3 daughters and seen it first hand.
Don't get me wrong. The hipsters ( all colors) make me throw up in my mouth but these two girls should be applauded for their talent but maybe advised to take a look in the mirror.
Gentrification is a tricky period for sure. A believe a balance can be found.
Hanks for sharing. Well received here.

Great points Bri. I agree that these white hipsters can do things that " they" don't find offensive but are hurting or pissing the shit out of the person of color ect. Happens all the time.
I'm saying I've seen ( to many times to count) white girls who are not hipsters and are " colorblind" are genuine are not entitled and are AWARE picked on mercilessly by these people of color. Simply because they are white.
I've also seen girls of color trying to be " hipsters" not accepted by. CONTINUED....

Point is it shouldn't last long as young as they are unless they stay in a homogenous area or state of mind. Gentrification is tricky period causes a lot misunderstandings and city growth.

Hipsters aren't just white they come in every shade. I don't have anything against hipsters just assholes with or without the label. But some of the points they make that could only insult or upset a p.o.c. There are things people do that non colored people or people of a different race don't see insulting to black, asian, latino, etc. Some people do it on purpose or it's a misunderstanding. I don't see it as racism more so racial micro aggression. We all experience it from time to time.

Lol. I'm not judging the book by its cover I'm judging the book by the book. I did give them props. Very clever, intelligent, articulate and racist. I didn't put them in a box. They squeezed the toothpaste out of the tube....it is what it is.
Yes I've seen hipsters with an ax to grind being racist to other cultures/ races. It's racist.
Are you justifying racism?
Yes I can read people that well.
I hear your perspective Briana. I don't agree with some of it. Continued.

Also you put them in a box after a 3 minute video when they gave no back story about themselves you did existentially what you accused them of doing. Don't tell me you can read people that well. And I think hipsters have a ax to grind ever hear of hipster racism not just toward blacks but other cultures in general. And as of lately the Native American community has been targeted and have been complaining. Nobody really likes them whatever the color all through out N.Y.
