my life story dance by crystal demetriades

this is the story of my life. i wrote my story then found four different songs and blended them together. then i recorded my voice on top of the music then i made up my lyrical dance to it. i competed with it at many competitions last year. i did it to let people know that u can go through many things and tunr out fine. anytime i did it the whole audience would get completely silent. it was so amazing to be able to share my story through dancing.

I know it's been said a million times, but this is truly inspirational. I was sexually abused when I was very young by someone in my family. I took dance classes for about fifteen years, from ages 3 to 18. I didn't know it at the time, but it really did help me cope with the pain. Dance is amazing in that way, isn't it? It lets you get out everything that can be so hard to say.

I pray that you continue to heal from your experiences.
