Rick Perry becomes president = America destroyed.

@MsLilithJS I agree, I think it all stems from pure arrogance.

Truth is truth. Bullshit is bullshit. Whether or not the bullshit is ancient is of no consequence. Its just such a shame that our mothers, fathers, and grandparents are mucked up in the ignorance of tradition. Just because they are told by their elders then it is true. But no reasoning or science was ever applied, so belief contains no real substance, just myth. But dont say that to a believer. They will tell the same thing they were told, but they actually believe it, and be offended.

To be fair, Rick Perry's prayer rally was explicitly admonished by Jesus in Matthew 6:5-6
“'When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, who love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on street corners so that others may see them. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. 6But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you.'"
So maybe Jesus was mad at Rick Perry.

For some reason, it has always annoyed me when people over emphasize the "m" or the "b" in the words "million" and "billion". And it happens so damn often...

@themsfightinwoids ~ Oh, I'm not supporting Prayer. Though there is some Neuroimaging, Neuroscience evidence that it can do good to the individual. There is no empirical evidence, however, that it works in the way Christians keep saying it does.
Okay, okay, I've been avoiding commenting for a while because I got tired of arguing, but I've had a quandry lately. Everything that happens is part of god's plan, right? Also, many Christians use the phrase "if it be thy will" in their prayers. My question is: what's the point? If it's his plan, and you're asking him to do it only if he wants to, why ask? In the Christian scenario, isn't god going to do what god's going to do?

@Obee999 If god wanted to make me a believer he could leave behind a little evidence, thats really all I ever wanted. I actually think if there is any form of god he will be more impressed with those that look for information rather than those who just blindly follow what they were taught as children.
