Dino Thunder | Tommy's Nightmare

Q&A:
This...is so trippy. Am I suppose to be confused?:
Yes and no. I wanted to keep it realistic in the way that dreams are. I'm no psych major, but it's common sense that dreams are never the way they are depicted in film. They're jumbled, scattered, confusing and a lot of times there's no real sense we can make of them. Film paints them to be black and white - you're running from a big bear in the woods. In reality, the dream is that you're hiding out in your basement with your long lost sister without wearing any pants and there's a bear outside the house but you're too afraid to go check on it. You wake up and it leaves you wondering...what was the meaning of not wearing any pants?

So, while there were little hidden meanings in every single clip used within this 'Tommy's nightmare' that I created, I won't be explaining any of it. I want the viewer to figure it out as if it were their own nightmare. Everyone can come up with their own conclusion, and that it's self was what made this video so fun to create.

What's the point of this?:
Let's skip through the three paragraphs of physiological BS I could write and just admit it first hand - there is no point. It was a plot bunny I had at 3 am. I also wanted to explore what I could do with horror/suspense within a fandom video.

What music did you use?:
There were a LOT of little music clips used within the video, not one single track. I couldn't give you a straight list.

How did you make this?:
Just used Sony Vegas on this one.

Is all the material in this from Dino Thunder?:
All but the last clip from "Fall Guy" and Tommy's screams used through-out the torture scenes, also from "Fall Guy"

How long did this take?:
2ish days, 6ish hours all together

This was incredible, I absolutely loved this and it was amazing to see the layers and layers of this vid - I can't wait to peel them back and poke around at every detail. This was just so thought provoking! And amazing to see another Tommy video! Everything was done so well it was like it was actually a seen from the show - I couldn't tell what was real and what wasn't but I guess that was a bit of the point! Dreams are so fragmented and you seemed to nail the nightmarish quality down to an art!

*takes a few steps back* Gosh... it's like reading your fanfiction all over again. (I'm forever traumatized by that scene of the DT rangers getting slaughtered in Tommy's dream). This of course is still a compliment. The vid was trippy and scary but in a really interesting, edge of your seat sort of way. And the execution of it all was spot on. There was no question it was a dream (you definitely didn't need to read the title to know). Scary but wonderful work here hun!
