I don't understand why they crack down on racing. You don't get your car crushed from a DUI even though it kills thousands more people every year. In fact, I hardly ever hear about deaths from racing. Most people who race are better drivers than those idiots who talk on the phone and blow stoplights. There's exceptions to everything but why is racing so illegal? It's stupid IMO.

Governments are generally inept. Here is another classic example of wastefulness at its finest. It's the drivers, not the cars, but you don't see them crushing the drivers for racing.

@22Angst yeah. Crushing cars is generally a waste unless it's worn out or permanently damaged such as a bent frame (easy to do with unibody). There probably was a lot of parts to be sold, the problem is that when you try to salvage something like that, you're pretty much trying to run a whole seperate business. You also need somebody to remove, ship, and market the parts. I can see how its much easier to sell it for $200 in scrap and call it a day.

@niceday2dayman looks like a complete waste to me, there were prob 1000's of dollars of parts that could have been sold off that car........... crushing that new of a car just seems retarded to me and isn't solving the racing problem at all. o well
