Is there a way to turn down Fire Effects?
Everynow and then some Black Patches and Lines appear round it, its annoying, and the only thing thats bad with y play experience atm

Hmmm have you updated your video drivers? Do you by chance have an ATI video card? Do you experience 'streaking' with your monitor in any other rapid movement games or scenes?

No, only recently got the game, and im enjoying it to be fair ahah.
Its a laptop, and ive heard it can be difficult to upgrade on them? If it is possible, i have no idea how, or where to go though.

there should be a sticker on the laptop somewhere or you'll see it while it's booting up if you have Nvidia, ATI or Intel embedded video.
if it's Intel, it doesnt have alot in the way of hardware 3d acceleration on it.
Anyway, make sure to update your video drivers on line to the latest driver
