There's actually plenty of chubby elite gymnasts though. I don't mean that in a bad way, I think all body sizes should be accepted. Some gymnasts work better skinny (Sveta, Nastia), but for some gymnasts its a huge advantage to be on the larger side. Most power gymnasts aren't svelte, but being larger gives more push of the spring board, more momentum when flipping etc. If a gymnast can perform her own skills the best she can her body is probably right for her, regardless of it size.

Shes talking bout pressure on the bar. -.-
-
I think she meant, she lost the weight of pressure from the routine she just did?
-
I think it's stupid that some people think this is real

i cant quite understand what she said, can someone tell me please
-
What exactly did she say? I couldn't understand a single word she said.

I believe that if you can do the skills well, it shouldn't matter what you weigh. Because you're working off your body weight anyways so if you weight 220lbs, you should be able to throw all 220lbs of yourself over the bar for a Tkachev, or whatever the skill may be.

@tatulover2120 thanksXD I've been getting quite bit of hate for that comment^
She complemented her on losing weight, has that never happened to you? Seriously people she wasn't saying she needed to lose weight, she pointed out that she had.

Oh my god, people are way too sensitive, people talk about this all the time in gymnastics, its not unhealthy, they body is their only tool, they talk about this openly and detailed. They keep their weight to their individual ideal muscle and body ratio to preform at their peak. She's not encouraging her to have an eating disorder, theyre basically discussing her training, and weight is a part of that.
Its a gymnastics champion where everyone is used to that talk, its not innapropriate.
