  • Hi,

    I'm Mike's "Other Mom"... :) (I hate saying step mom... I'm not a part of a house)...

I love him so much and so do his sisters, Mary and Sarah... no matter what he chooses in life we are behind him 100% because we love him so much, always have, always will...:)

Kathy (Maureen's twin.. :) You geek. you beat me to this... )

  • We are Michael's parents and we are very proud of him. He can love whomever he chooses and they will always be welcome back "home."

  • that makes us all respect and embrace the diversity of this fickle world.

    Love from Ash.

  • with this shame and terror. I would like to thank people like Alan for their concern and persistant activism. Mr. Cumming is an inspiration to me, a light in the darkness. I want his message to reach to the darkest corner of hypocrisy here in the south. If I come out at this time, I'll be shunned and shamed. But if Alan's message could be heard at the high school I go to, though I doubt it would change many minds, I know he could reach a few of us who are still looking out for that humanity...

  • America and speak to them about respect. This is a revolution that I want to be a part of, but I'm a coward for not having the guts to stand up to those who oppose me. I live in the Bible belt and see my gay and lesbian friends who are honest with themselves be persecuted. I don't think I'm strong enough to take it. I do have support from a couple of friends and my Grandmother, who says she doesn't agree with the path I've chosen but loves me anyway. It's a struggle every day for me to live...

  • I am a bisexual high school student in Arkansas. I can tell you that especially in the south, you are offered hardly any support if you are different. My father said that if I was ever a lesbian he would disown me and not come to the wedding if I chose to marry. He has made it clear that certain aspects of being different will not be accepted. I have not come out to him and am terrified of him finding me out. I know how Michael feels and I think that Alan should come to every high school in...

  • Hi Michael! I'm Maureen, Kathy's twin, remember me? I think your video was a wonderful thing to do and I wish nothing but good things for you! I teach in a middle school on Long Island where we have a diversity club where gay and lesbian students can join, along with straight students, to discuss issues that are important to them...I wish you had that when you were twelve years old! Hopefully we've evolved as a species to accept people as they are! I'm sending you peace & love from Floral Park!
