*Note: FINALLY got it to work.

Night and Fog, also know as Nuit et brouillard in French is a short film directed by Alain Resnais,
produced by Anatole Dauman, written by Jean Cayrol, narrated by Michel Bouquet, music by Hanns Eisler, and edited by Jasmine Chasney and Henri Colpi. It was distributed by Argos Films and first released in 1955 in France. This video contains real pictures and video from the Holocaust, and may be graphic to younger viewers. Those with a weak heart are not advised to watch. This 32 minute movie is completely in French and contains English subtitles. This is an important film which displays the cruelty and brutality, but also secrecy and calculation of the Einsatzgruppen, SS, and Nazis ordered under Adolf Hitler as Chancellor.

*Warning for any young viewers who could have second thoughts: Nudity and mass graves of visible corpses lie ahead.*
-- I do not own this film in any way, shape or form. All rights go to there respective owners. --

Kapo (Funktionshäftling) were a large part in watching over the Jewish, fighting death as they were but one rank higher than them. These inmates would assist their higher ups for a reduced sentence or parole. In turn, some Jews would assist Kapos for extra food or deeply desired items.

Quotes from Anne Frank and family, for they show the inspiration and low feelings of all Jews:
"Always remember this Anne, there are no walls, no bolts, no locks that anyone can put on your mind." - Otto Frank
"I don't want to have lived in vain like most people. I want to be useful or bring enjoyment to all, even those I've never met. I want to go on living even after my death!" - Anne Frank
"Sometimes I wish the end would come, whenever. At least we'd know where we were." - Margot
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité." - The French Motto.
And always remember an estimated 11 million people died because of the Holocaust, including Romani (gypsies), Soviet prisoners of war, Polish and Soviet civilians, homosexuals, people with disabilities, Jehovah's Witnesses and other political and religious opponents to the Nazis. The Jewish were the main target of their Final Solution, but the others that died should not remain forgotten.
  • Thank you for uploading "Night and Fog." I like this short film because it cuts the B.S. and gets straight to the point in depicting the mind-boggling tragedy without omitting any footage that may be deemed "in appropriate or too much" for the average person to handle; omitting such footage is tantamount to doing a great disservice the millions of lives lost; the truth must be made bare no matter how ugly or horrifying it is.
  • @dagobantoine it is appropriate: the name is irony.
    The idea of beautiful fields, hiding concentration camps... Isnt reality ironic?
  • Zionist Jews hate that documentary
  • It makes me sick to think that this only happened in recent times. Just 70 years ago. Barbaric.
  • @rhknsjdfskjnd ignorant piece of shit, can you joke about something like this?
  • @rhknsjdfskjnd my God do you think this is something to joke about? How callous can you be?
  • @rhknsjdfskjnd huh?
  • Its not ironic, it was calculated to look attractive from the outside to dispel the thought that anything terrible was happening inside
  • Good to see that the shot at 4:44 has not been censored as it was in the original release. The uncensored version only became available as recently as the 1990s
