this vid doesnt do that muffler justice, it sounds a hell of a lot better in person.

I have a stock exhaust that I cut the muffler off of on my 96 Cherokee. Want a more rumbly sound a louder rev but I have it cut off just before the rear axle. What exhaust system would be pretty good?

Good sound to it bud,
I got a 98 xj too, im lookin to take off the stock muffler and swap it out with a glasspack or flowmaster. Idk what size it is though, i know its either the 2.25 or 2.5. And since yours says 2.5 i might go with that. But in your opinion which is the better sounding muffler?

I believe the stock piping diameter is 2.25". And best sounding one..well I think its personal preference. Like you heard in the video the flowmaster at idle has kind of a V8'ish sound. I've since replaced it as the 2.5" piping after the muffler rotted out in two places...lasted over 60k miles/5 years in New England. I now have a Dynomax catback which I picked up from Summit Racing for $63 and some change after a rebate promotion...pretty much perfect timing on the replacement.

Yea they do, when I ordered I asked for a 40 series as a few guys on the forums said it would sound better. A friend of mine put their 50 series setup on and mine is a tad louder then his but very close. Also the 40 series is shorter which I had to add a few extra inches to the setup.
