Ahhhhhhhhhh memories.
I had a 48k Spectrum which was upgraded to a Spectrum +. Had 2 Microspeeches, which both stopped working.
"Your Computer" was the best computer magazine.
Great times.
All in less than 48 Kilobytes.

lol cassette 50, that should have been banned for being so 5 h 1 t. I had spec, then atari 800xl , c64.. all 3 had good points, but speccy was my first in 83. some games I prefered on speccy, some c64.. how good was starstrike from realtime?!?! =)
I remember my first Speccy was the 16k version because all the 48k ones had sold out. So I had to take it to this dodgy little place in London Docklands (some years before they redeveloped the entire place), then wait a few hours for them to literally solder on a new 48k chip upgrade for about 20 quid. Then I could at least play Manic Miner, haha. Those were the days :)
