SH Horikawa Rotate O Matic Super Astronaut robot, Made in Japan

Late 1960s early 1970s. Made in Japan by SH Horikawa, Rotate-O-Matic super astronaut robot. This is the early version with all metal construction including the arms and head which are plastic on later versions. The opening chest doors are plastic with tin plate covers. Still fairly easy to find in average to good condition, but becoming scarce mint boxed. Many variations exist, particularly the chest door litho printing, silver & gold colours which are rarer, and the later increase in plastic content.
