Wes Studi nearly stole the movie! Maybe did, in fact. The scene where he beckons to the (understandably) scared, Munro daughter (who is standing on the edge of a cliff) blew me away. So much expression was condensed in his face, and his gesture! And then he just turns and moves on--his group had been in a hurry, to begin with, before that ... diversion.

There would have been no story or movie except for MAGUA! Ferocious Huron War Captain. Wes Studi - Needs a belated oscar! Really makes me wonder about discrimination.
