I'm very concerned about this myself. Everybody both at my highschool and on the Internet were mysoginist, and they shouted me down for disagreeing with them.
I'm sick of all this crap on the Internet advocating that those of us who are males should slap women around. I can't stand it! You never see women advocating doing this to men do you? Not only that, but a lot of women on the Internet that are from California are supportive of it.

yeah, it really does take so much courage doesn't it...I got so much backlash just from friends and family when I "announced" my feminism lol. It's amazing, the comments intelligent, talented women get on youtube just for being smart and saying what no one else has the guts to say...

It must make you feel so good to get an e-mail like that. Like you're really making a difference in the world. Imagine if we all did something cool, like made a website or a 'zine or even if we just walked around with a kickass attitude and a t-shirt that says "end patriarchy" on it... ;) (which I totally plan on doing...bwahahaha!). Congratulations, and I hope to do something important for feminism like you have done....

I'm not anti-feminist, but I have to say that I often differ in opinion to feminism as it seems that a lot of what goes on just tends to be what can be considered as hate speech against men. Its also understandable that you guys would censor sexist comments made on your videos, but is it really necessary to discard all opposing viewpoints. Like this comment, if discarded with all the rest you will have confirmed in at least one good-natured person that feminism today has lost its path.

There was good reason for the negative backlash to that video. If your approach to ending sexism is to lash out at some generalized straw-man "online misogynist" with a smug grin and verbal vitriol, you've got a lot of work ahead of you.
Take a note from the civil rights movement. Worry more about ending sexism, and less about attacking sexists. My dad has made racist/sexist comments around me. I call him on it, make fun of him. I don't tell him to fuck off or call him a coward.
