NOTE: I am NOT a martial artist. NOTHING you see here has anything to do with knife fighting or any kind of fighting. If anything, this is an instructional film on how to do POORLY in a knife fight. Which I do not recommend.

This is the trick I entered for the International Best Trick Competition - 2008. Instead of a series of complex movements, I decided to do one precise trick, using only one finger (not including the catch).

  • This looks like an awesome way to stab and/or cut open your hand.

  • Hahaha... yes. It doubles as a top-of-the-foot stabbing trick. That takes some practice though.

  • yay for slow motion...it looked like zero g and that the knife would keep going up hahahaha. since your vids are soo popular you think that that show "Time Warp" would ask you to appear? lol. Would you go?

  • Haha, that'd be neat. Although the bald guy on that show is sort of a douche. Then again, I'm sort of a dick, so yeah, I guess I'd go. :D

  • It blows my mind that this is even humanly possible! Very nice job!

Question: Are practice balisongs (i.e., dull bladed ones) legal/available in California or the rest of the US?

  • Thanks!

Trainers should be legal in every state I believe. Even real balisongs are legal in most states.

  • i can see this going wrong

  • omg did it in 1st try

  • @theblasto To further clarify, I've read that while they're legal to OWN in most states (I haven't looked into California specifically) they aren't legal to CARRY. One notable exception is Oregon, wherein it is legal to open-carry balisongs (don't take my word for it, double check just in case!).

  • what kind of camera is that

  • love the slo mo
