@bibliophile232 Surely you don't think that any president has more than a minor effect on the economy. In Obama's case, his influence has dwindled to near nothing, thanks to a Congress that has made it a mission to impede any policy he tries to pursue. The economy will continue to suffer as long as we fail to correct the root causes: dismantled/unenforced regulation in the financial sector, lack of investment in infrastructure & human capital, & deficits fed by war & untenable tax cuts.

I just noticed that I am EXACTLY like you. And I just found out about vlogbrothers a few days ago. I have no idea how, but we are almost exactly similar. We share the same political views, literature views, and both consider ourselves as nerds and are proud of it. I am not a devouted fan.

I voted for McCain, but even I had to admit that he was terrible in the debates. Obama definitely won.
