So, one thing that crosses my mind is how well does it fair for rail to rail precisions... because if i pick up a pair of these i don't want to be slipping on metal but gripping on concrete... If you could let me know it would be fantastic.

Well heres the thing, I love rails and wall runs, but the bad grip on rails helped me get better at my balance on the rails and i could practice distance not on rails, so then when i put on a cheap pair of running shoes i was beast. so it actually helped me.
