@ILikeWeapons132435 Companies have been playing around with that concept for some time. They've made quick barrel swap uppers and interchangeable mag well lowers and all other sorts of ways you can convert an AR into a multi-calibur gun. But yea it is cool that Colt's figured out how to convert 5.56 to .308 and still keep the lower unchanged.

I was just thinking the other day... "Hmm... wouldn't it be nice if there was an AR platform that could be a .308 and a .556?". I watch this video. ME WANT!

@bighitter42 Excuse me, I forgot that amphetamines didn't kill people in the exact same way...oh wait yes they do. And the problem isn't abuse, it's the drugs, and the advertisements for the drugs. And you're right, because opiates are much safer, including heroine. Regardless, the point is that the guy you attacked took the word of an employee who's job is to describe/sell this weapon. The fact still remains that he wasn't being unreasonable, and you were splitting hairs. I'm done here.

@pleasereason Amphetamines like Adderall don't have the same salts that methamphetamine does. They are similar...but it's not even the same as comparing hydrocodone to heroine. Are they overprescribed? Perhaps. But Doctors have a legal responsibility to make sure that their patients don't abuse medicine. It's not the same argument.

@bighitter42 Actually they wouldn't loose their license at all, because what you are describing happens every single day. Doctors know very little about medication. They went to med school not pharma school. Big difference. They also prescribe really bad chemicals to people all the time. Like all the children that are prescribed to METH (Ritalin, Concerta, Adderall). That doesn't mean you should ignore your doctors advice. Also, the 'ASSume' bit is not nearly as clever as you think.

Was there a Maxim or Vickers next to him? All I saw was a water jacket cooled MG... I think

That's a nice gun

I was more excited last year, when they said that it was going to use any existing standard AR upper. But now they say proprietary magazines and upper reciever kits to be bought separately, I'm pretty turned off from it.
-
@pleasereason It's not unreasonable at all for him to ASSume that. But I also listed a few sources when I responded to you.
Honestly I don't think it's the same analogy though. Doctors have to go to a long school, and acquire a license from the state. The same cannot be said for firearm company reps. According to them, there was no problem with Gen4 Glocks(for that matter with late Gen3 Glocks.) If they were doctors, they would lose their license to practice medicine.

Pretty slick design with the 556 upper converting the large magwell to a flared magwell. Strong work Colt. Now just extend that rail and lighten it and you will be golden.
Gotta love the fact that there's no "CoD comments", there's just "people complaining about CoD" comments. Just because some plays video game or hears about a gun from a video game does not mean they're automatically too stupid to use guns, if we're gonna treat all of our children like they're idiots because they play video and not give them a chance to learn about guns, then they'll grow up to be the must anti-gun generation in history. Seriously, why can't people just get over it?
