Cathedral Gorge State Park is located 165 miles North of Las Vegas on highway 93. The park is quite small, 1,600 acres, but it's beauty is vast. The soft bentonite clay has been formed by erosion. This is a great place to visit. We were going for the day but ended up staying just a few hours. We decided to drive the additional 2 hours to Great Basin National Park. We highly recommend doing both parks for an awesome day trip, or you can camp at Great Basin for the night and make it a two day trip.
