Everyone has their own ideas, and cleaning solutions. Something that I use for tools that are so rusted, they look like they would never come clean is regular vinagar like you buy in the grocery store. Pour some in a container, place your rusted metal object into it, and leave it to soak for a few days. Take it out, and wire brush, or steel wool it, and it will look like new metal. If a stronger solution is wanted, put vinager in bowl, into freezer until ice forms, throw away ice, use remainder.

nice rifles.
but if there where mine, I would of taken them to a Profecional Gunsmith and have them
Nitre Blue or Hard cast the receiver and re-blue the rest.

@jofher007 These rifles were worthless as they were. In new condition they only go for about 300-400 each. so you might as well buy ones in good condition if your going to cough up the coin for a gunsmith to de-pit the rust and re-blue them. My friend was very satisfied with the price I did these for. I really wish I had my abrasive blasting unit when I did them because this took forever with sandpaper. I'm trying to show that with a little know-how a non-gunsmith can do pretty well.

he buddy great vid and great guns. How well does duracoat work ie duribilty ( does it scratch easy) and rust provention.

@oldhickory1775 Thank you for the support. I'm going to knockout a durability video later today as I have had a lot of questions reguarding it. Duracoat is basically tough paint and does scratch off easily when hard surfaces scrape it. I hear bead blasting is a good way to promote adhesion.

@ipaintyou1 Right on. I love lever guns, so did my grandfather. according to Grandma he had over 60 winchesters at one point. I'm more into pistols but I do love a nice rifle.
